In conjunction with the deal, Crumbs & Plum District will host a fundraising community event on Saturday, June 25th from 11:00-1:00 at Crumb's Brooklyn location. Face Art by Melissa will be painting faces & handing out balloon art while beverages and desserts will be provided for those in attendance, along with BOGO coupon distribution for future use.
Here's some information about the family that is being helped:
Elisa and Nathan Bond, both artists in their 30s and parents of 18-month-old Sadie, were recently each diagnosed with aggressive forms of cancer. Crumbs will donate all of the money generated by this deal to the trust that has been set up to help the Bonds with their financial burden.
The road ahead for both Elisa and Nathan is long, difficult, and complicated. Between multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, all while caring for their young daughter, they face a tremendous challenge that will take energy, commitment, and a deep well of support.
