Brooklyn Bargainista: Walgreens Weekly Ad, 6/12-6/18

Here are the best deals and match-ups this week for Walgreens. They've got some REALLY good deals and I've included a scenario at the bottom of the post to help you make the most of the sale.

Keep in mind that when you're shopping at Walgreens, you cannot have more items than coupons. Before heading to the register, scout your local store for cheap items to use as "fillers" when getting the deals. I used Nestle's Crunch Bars as fillers in the transaction scenarios, but you may be able to find pencils or erasers for less money. You're just looking for anything that will get you more items than coupons and won't have too much of an effect on your total.

So far, you've spent less than $7 out of your pocket and have about $40 worth of items. I'm going to stop here and hold onto the $3 RR so that I'm starting next week with some "money."

If you want to do a 5th transaction, I'd go with either Windex, Ajax, or Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners as those are the best deals. Just make sure that you have more items in your transaction than coupons. Walgreens RRs count as coupons, so you may end up buying a lot of candy bars (or other filler items) this week to get the good deals on Transaction #5.
