Pathmark Weekly Ad, 6/17-6/23

Before we even get into this week's deals at Pathmark, there's a moneymaker I need to tell you about. Pathmark is offering a $10 off of your next grocery order when you buy $50 or more in Mastercard, JC Penney, or Outback Steakhouse gift cards.

I'd start my Pathmark trip by purchasing a $50 MasterCard gift card. Then, load your cart with groceries, and use the $10 off coupon and the MasterCard to pay for them. If there's an activation fee on the MasterCard, it will be less than $5, so you're still making money on the deal.

  1. ronzini garden pasta is $1.99 at altantic center which is notorious for not doubling. I thought that's where you go to, so where how can you get any of the pasta for free?

  2. I avoid Atlantic at all costs (I'm in Bay Ridge and there are quite a few that are closer).

The Garden Pasta is the only non-blue box pasta that isn't excluded from the $10/$10 sale in the ad. After the $1 off coupon that came out a few weeks ago, it should be free.

  3. I have the coupon, many of them and was ready to have pasta night, every night, but the garden pasta was the definitely not part of the sale.

I wouldn't think Pathmark would have different sales/prices within the borough, but I've heard that supermarkets do have different prices depending on the general income of the area, where the prices are higher for the lower income areas- pretty messed up. This instance cited was from my father who is in Long Island, but I'm sure that may carry over the Nassau border to Brooklyn.

Bay Ridge is quite the hike from Fort Greene to go grocery shopping, although now considering the Stop n Shop on Flatbush.

Why do you avoid Atlantic? I guess considering how far you live, but there is definitely a certain charm to the place.

  4. I haven't been to Pathmark since the ad was released to check on the price of Garden Delight. It's possible that they just left it off of the list of exclusions. Since it wasn't listed, I left that coupon in as an option. If it's excluded at Atlantic, it's probably excluded here.

I avoid Atlantic for a few reasons:

    1. Parking is a nightmare.
    2. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I always grocery shop with my 2yo and 3yo in tow. Taking the train with 2 kids, a belly, a weeks worth of groceries and a 50lb stroller isn't something I want (or even am physically able) to do.

I normally hit the Stop & Shop near Coney Island (because they double) then stop by the Coney Island Pathmark on the way home to pick up any good deals on meat.

It's not that I don't like Atlantic (there's a Target & and Old Navy there!!!), it's just that it's more difficult for me to get to for a weekly grocery run.

  6. Hey Everyone

Can some tell me if 1)my online/club card Pathmark coupons (the ones i add to my card online) can be stacked with manufacture's coupons?
    2) will Pathmark double those manufacture's coupons?

  7. Tina,

I've heard you can get away with stacking the coupons on your card with paper manufacturers coupons. The coupons on your card WILL NOT double even if you are fortunate enough to shop at a Pathmark store that doubles coupons.
