Are you using Ebates yet?

I've mentioned Ebates at the bottom of a few posts, but I wanted to describe it in detail again for anyone who isn't using it yet. Ebates is a company that gives you cash back for all of your online purchases.

For example, the current cash back rate at Macy's is 5%. So, if you were making a purchase at Macy's, you'd start by going to the Ebates website. At the top of the site is a search bar where you would type in "Macy's." Ebates will give you a listing of available coupon codes that you can use at Macy's. Just click on one of the coupon codes, and you will automatically be taken to Macy's website. The coupon code you picked will be applied to your purchase at checkout (hello savings!) and 5% of your total purchase on Macy's website will be credited to your Ebates account.

You're basically getting paid for shopping online. It doesn't cost you ANYTHING to use Ebates, and for signing up, they'll put $5 into your account when you make your first purchase. When your cash back amount totals $5.01, they'll send you a check. Click here to sign up for Ebates.

My husband received a check for $14.32 from them a few weeks ago and I'm expecting one for just over $40 soon. It's a great, free way to earn (or save) a little money with very little effort. My favorite part about Ebates is that the when the check arrives, it's mine. It's not a ton of money, but it's nice to have a little bit that I don't have to share.
