Purex with Zout Review and Giveaway: Ends 4/20

Purex sent me a bottle of their new Purex with Zout detergent about a month ago to try out. I was really excited about the new product for two reasons (well, three if you count that it was free):
  1. I have a two year old and a three year old. My son (the two year old) is a dirt magnet and I've had to throw clothes away because I couldn't get the stains out. I swear this kid comes out of the bathtub dirty!
  2. Purex is reformulating their detergents so that they will all worth with HE machines as well as regular machines. We have an HE washing machine and whenever there's a sale on detergent, those are the first bottles to fly off the shelves. Now that it doesn't matter which bottle of Purex I purchase, I'll have a better opportunity to take advantage of the low prices.

What is Purex Complete with Zout?
Purex Complete with Zout combines the proven performance of Purex detergent with the triple enzyme stain fighting power of Zout stain remover.

I have sensitive skin. Will this product work for me?
Yes! There are two different varieties. Fresh Morning Burst (in the blue bottle) will give your clothes a light clean scent. The white bottle is Free & Clear and is fragrance free and has a hypoallergenic formula for sensitive skin. Did you know that Purex Complete with Zout is the first Free & Clear detergent to call out an added stain fighter?

My thoughts on Purex Complete with Zout
So, we've been using the new Purex with Zout for a couple of weeks now. As far as stain-fighting goes, it does a really good job. This new formula can be used as a pre-treatment for stains, but I forgot about that when I ran them through the washer for the first time. It still managed to remove 99% of the chocolate milk stains from my son's shirt. After pre-treating the stains (or maybe it was post-treating???), the shirt is bright white and good as new... until he wears it again.

My husband did the last 4-5 loads of laundry (I love him!) and he did notice that the detergent is much sudsier in our HE machine than other Purex detergents we've tried. I didn't notice that when I did the laundry, so it may have had more to do with the items in the washing machine than the detergent itself. I've been doing some spring cleaning recently (please wipe that shocked look off of your face!) and I think the additional suds may have been from some of the residual cleaning products on the towels I was using.

I'm definitely happy with the product and will purchase it again. I was a loyal Purex buyer before becoming a Purex Insider because of the value of the product. Purex is just as effective at cleaning our clothes as the more expensive brands, and frankly, I'd rather spend my money on more exciting things than laundry detergent. Wouldn't you?

Would you like to try Purex Complete with Zout?
Great! You have a few options for getting your hands on this great new product.

      Winner!!! :)
Congrats to Billie Everly for winning the Purex Complete with Zout coupon. Purex sent me 2 coupons for this product, so I'll be giving the other away soon as well.
